So, here is a great idea on how to help animals in need; ‘Giving Shelter’ is an initiative by Architects for Animals that asks architectural firms to design, build and donate outdoor shelters. These beautifully crafted refuges are presented to the public in stylish one-night events and donated to organisations that work with animals in need.

Their latest benefit outing was dedicated to animal charity FixNation, a non-profit organisation who run a trap-neuter-return programme for feral cats in the San Fernando Valley in LA County.

More than 12 local architecture practices participated and helped raise money in a glitzy cocktail event at the Herman Miller Showroom in LA.

Maybe we should organise something similar here in London and other cities in Europe?
