Today we fell in love with Moormann’s modular dog bed | dog design furniture

Innovative furniture design is about creating beautiful spaces that work for your entire family. And for German furniture designers Nils Holger Moormann this naturally includes man’s best friend.

Based in the Chiemgau area of Upper Bavaria, neatly nestled into the foothills of the Alps, Nils Holger Moormann have designed the Kläffer, a miniature version of their human-size Siebenschläfer and children’s Spross beds.

Producing locally, the creative team collaborates with surrounding manufacturers who help develop their highly modular furniture that is often metal-free and can be assembled by simply slotting individual elements together.

Made from European birch plywood, the Kläffer (that’s German for ‘barking’) dog bed comes in black, white and red and offers a well sized mattress measuring 40cm x 70cm.

We love the distinct signature look of the Kläffer with its reduced and functional aesthetics and judging by the images, dogs do too.

If you’d like to experience the collection for yourself and are up for a mountain adventure, visit Moormann’s guest house berge where two apartments are specially reserved for you to bring along your dog. Time to make them roar.

Nice to have you here
